End of an Adventure: Gittigidiyor
Last week, it was announced that Gittigidiyor, one of the valuable brands of the e-commerce ecosystem in our country, will be closed in the near future.
Although I have never preferred their platform until now, I was frankly a little surprised and upset. He contributed a lot to both the development of the e-commerce sector and the development of many web platforms in our country.
In 2013, when my technology-oriented articles on Blogger.com, Google’s free blog service, started to receive high traffic, I took action to establish a professional content platform. I was trying to improve the server infrastructure in the face of increasing traffic day by day, and I was trying to earn income from the incoming traffic and cover the costs.
I had not yet started working with Google AdSense, the biggest income source for content publishers. I didn’t have time to wait for various snags and months of evaluation. I immediately started looking for a strong alternative. In fact, there were many alternatives, but none of them even came close to Google. While I was researching, I came across Gittigidiyor’s Business Partnership service. All the features and operation of the service were really above my expectations.
With GG Business Partnership, I have kept my venture afloat by making very good profits in a smooth and wonderful operation for about 1.5 years. In 2015, I sold my content platform.
It is a pity that Gittigidiyor, which has been beneficial to the sector for many years and has contributed to its development, lags behind the dynamics of competition under an e-commerce giant like eBay. At the same time, GittiGidiyor was the “5th Best Employer” in Europe with the work culture it created.
I will always remember him for his contribution to my project.
Bye bye #Gittigidiyor
